Night of 1/31/06

This dream had at least two parts. My dreams always seem to have many parts that roll into one and are somehow (at least when I'm dreaming them) connected. In the first part of the dream I started a new semester at Learning Tree, which had just moved to a different location. This location was very like a "real" school with desks and chalkboards and such. I added a science class the final period of the day (which I currently have free in reality). This doesn't make much sense as I'm already in a science class on a different day, but this is, after all, a dream. The science class was very large (for a co-op class), probably 25 or so students. The teacher was the same person I had (in the dream, though not in reality) for literary analysis. He didn't know much about science and made a whole bunch of things up.

Somewhere between here and the next part I got repremanded for using zeros (0) instead of the letter 'o' when I typed.

Later I was with a group of people at my house. We needed to go somewhere, but there weren't enough seats in our van, so I drove a few people in my car. We went to this big, red, barn-looking building (on Harrison Ave in the dream) that was dark inside and had a dark, earthy floor. All over the floor were bright white, flat mushroom-like things. I picked up a bunch of them and went to a different building to pay. Apparently I bought 27 of them because the big chart the cashier handed me said they were three for a dollar and I paid nine dollars for them.

Night of 1/30/06

Remarkably like a movie I once say, but different, this dream was about a very small golden retriever puppy that could talk but was really an alien from outer space. The puppy is adopted by a 6 or 7 year old boy who is the only one the dog will talk to (with an incredibly deep voice). One night the boy's parents awake to sirens outside their house and the boy next to their bed in tears because the puppy is gone and all the police can find is a box full of hair. It must have been a really big deal, because the news covered it and everything. I woke up before I could find out what happened to the dog. Earlier I think there was something about a carnival in there...

Night of 1/28/06

I can only rember flashes of this dream. One flash had something to do with me standing in front of a forest. The other (slightly bigger) part that I remember took place in a large building with a very brown-carpeted/wooden interior. I believe it was a college, but very unlike any that I've seen. There were kitchen cabinets all over the place. The dorms and the classrooms were all in one building and the people living there ranged in age from 3-mid 80's. There were no stairs, but the floors were very wide ramps that spiraled up to the next floor. In the middle of each floor you could look down to the bottom floor, much like you can when climbing a spiral staircase. I believe I was tutoring someone in math. Why do I always tutor people in math? Math is most definitely my least favorite subject, and yet I always seem to be teaching it to other people. Throughout the whole dream the song "Seize the Day" by Carolyn Arends was playing through my head and it's been stuck there ever since. Thanks, Persimmon. That's you're fault. ; )

Night of 1/27/06

I... cannot... remember... But I woke up with "The Chase" stuck in my head. "The Chase" is a so-so song that Miss Johnson commissioned for our orchestra to play. It had little to do with what I was actually dreaming about. That is all I remember.

Night of 1/25/06

I must have been someone rather important. I got letters, big thick, multi-colored, well-filled enveloped letters, from girls all over the world. Each envelope said things to try to get me to read the letter inside. I began sorting through them at first, not reading the ones that said things like, "Read this and write me back so that we can be BFF!!!!! XOXOXO 3> 3>!!!" But then I decided to just read them all, since I had lots of time. Letters from people I knew, like Brandae and Kelly, who both sent me things, came in zippered pouches like we use for bank deposits at Chick-fil-A. Sadly, I woke up before I could read what any of the letters said.

Night of 1/14/06

I had a very long and elaborate dream last night. Amazingly, I remember a lot of it.

I started out surfing the internet where I came across a website that listed the screen names of everyone that I know, but without their real name to identify the screen name. I looked at that for awhile and then some guy (who had an identity in dreamland, but not in reality) IMed me and asked me to marry him. It went something like this:
guy: wanna get married?
me: uh, sure
guy: how about next wednesday at 6?
me: ok
But I didn't have a dress, so I went somewhere and Laura and Brandae brought all their formal dresses for me to try on and pick from. I chose this really hideous dress of Brandae's (that I'm sure she would never, ever wear) . It was reversible. One side was purple with huge purple plastic gems on it and the other side was light blue with lots of navy blue target signs on it. It was ugly. Really ugly.

I guess something happened because my impending marriage was suddenly forgotten about for awhile. Instead I went to the Glasgo's house. Their house was actually the bottom house of two houses stacked on top of each other. Everything was very white there. Dana was sitting at a piano with daisies or daffodils or something on it staring into space. She told me to go upstairs to the other house, because that's where the party was.

So I went upstairs to another white, carpeted room where lots and lots of people were. As soon as I got there one of the Gibson sisters (who used to babysit me a long time ago) called me on my cell phone to ask if I would help her with some preschool on a Wednesday when the teacher was going to be out of town. I told her that I had work and BAYSO (never mind that BAYSO is, in real life, on Mondays) but that I would come between the two activities.

At some point more people started coming into the room and passing out Chick-Fil-A brownies. Henry appeared suddenly and said that he would like his brownie cut in half before beginning to recite "Green Eggs and Ham" and wandering off somewhere. I took a huge stack of brownies that people didn't want and put them in my desk drawer.

Then I ran into Brandae who wanted to know if the dress I had borrowed had been altered yet. (Brandae is about a foot taller than me and my borrowing much of anything clothing-wise from her is rather impractical. Laura and I, on the other hand, are just about the same size. It would have been much smarter of me to borrow a dress from her). I wondered why I should alter it because I would just have to un-alter it when I gave it back. A computer conveniently happened to be next to me on the desk where I stuffed the brownies. As I was talking to Brandae, an IM box popped up and the mysterious guy said that he changed his mind and didn't want to get married after all. I said good, because then I didn't have to worry about the dress and anyway, I was teaching preschool on Wednesday.

Later there was something about a muddy hill. People were running up it or something. I don't remember much at all. I think it was the hill that used to be on the side of the field at Whitaker before they tore it all up.

The end.
